Somehow this year, having never celebrated Thanksgiving before, I managed to not only be invited to celebrate the holiday with a lovely group of friends, but also tagged along to a photo shoot that Davina from Paper + White styled for the occasion and took some of my own pics. It was a double dose of Thanksgiving joy!
Rather than go with the usual bright orange theme, Davina cleverly used a neutral but equally Autumnal colour palette with soft moss greens and calico creams dotted with natural elements like pine cones. To create this look, Davina worked with Flowergirl who painted some of the pumpkins using their Annie Sloan chalk paint to great effect.
A hessian runner provides the base for the pumpkin centrepiece. Silver tealights and mini glass cloches and an element of vintage glamour.
Sitting atop a rustic timber round, a natural paper card prompts guests to consider what they are thankful for. Silk ribbons and linen napkins create texture to the place setting.
