Zucchini Salad with Mozzarella

I have been meaning to post this Zucchini Salad with Mozzarella for weeks now.  We serve it often at The Assembly Hall and I have had several requests for the here it is (finally!)  It's such a simple salad and you can substitute a few of the ingredients without too much fuss - don't [...]

Simple Bathroom Makeover

When you live in rented accommodation there is a limit to what you can do with some of your spaces. Well, for me there is anyway.  I live in an old home and the bathrooms (and kitchen) were probably last updated in the 1980's.  We have other quirks with living in an old home (that [...]

The Edit: Bedroom Inspiration

I've decided that it's high time I made some effort in the bedroom (ahem...obviously I'm referring to the decor!) Seriously though, I don't think I've ever really made an effort to make the master bedroom a truly pulled together space - not since the first home that we bought.  From that first proper home we [...]

Pretty Entertaining Inspiration

Over the summer we had a French wedding to go to.  It was all kinds of lovely as weddings usually are - the bride looked beautiful, the groom was handsome, everyone was in a happy friendly mood and the sun shone.  Perfect.  But this wedding had me whipping out my camera and photographing like a [...]

Beautiful Affordable Furniture from Elements Concept Singapore

I recently had the pleasure of styling the new furniture range from Elements Concept.  I don't often share my Lottie is Loving 'work' here on the blog because I generally keep the two things separate, but I am so impressed with this furniture and lighting range that I wanted to share it with you. I [...]

Lemon Olive Oil Rosemary Cake

I currently have this Lemon Olive Oil Rosemary cake on rotation.  It's like a lemon drizzle cake but even better and because it is made with olive oil and milk it is super moist and soft - even days later. I stumbled across this cake when I was looking for recipes to make for the [...]

This Friday my home Rise and shine. LetsThe beauty of these

Once upon a time the fiddle leaf fig had my heart but now...? move over fiddy there’s a new love in my life - the rubber plant. And I’m just going to put it out there that rubber plants are the best ever indoor plants*. Totally not sure if I can claim that but the two rubber plants I have are absolute troopers. No leafs falling, or drying, or kind of going limp or brown - no just asks to visit the outdoors now and again and have a little water, then it’s happy enough to sit in the corner doing its thing. Good ol’ rubber plant. (*actually I think the pothos might actually hold this claim as I’m not sure that plant ever dies - like ever. Even without water or time outside it is seriously indestructible- like the cockroach of the plant world but waaaay nicer). Just keeping it simple and clean. (No more complaining from me) From me to you ❥ Not my usual coffee run. Best coffee in Niseko though and I stashed a little pastry inside my coat to enjoy as well. And while we’re talking ‘best of’s ’ - best ever Valentines Day was surely the first one with my now husband. He sent me flowers at work with an anonymous note and when he asked me if I’d got any flowers I told him “nope” because I didn’t want him to think I was playing the field and had another Valentine I only had eyes for him. Nearly 20 years later and I still feel just the same.
This Friday my home will become a mini flower market. Only a couple of spots left for Everyday Flowers. It’s such a beautiful way to kick off a Friday morning. Back home and hobbling around with a grade 1 tear to my MCL (looks like my plans for becoming a professional skier have taken a back seat). Shame. On the upside it’s Sunday and it’s my favourite time of day - coffee and breakfast (*if Instagram delivers this post to you in a few days time at 5pm the mood of this moment will be gone. Just know I’m feeling it now at 7.41am on Sunday morning) ✨ The cutest little oyster van. Not sure it’s really what I feel like at the end of a very snowy day but oh so cute all the same.
