Tuscan Soup

This delicious vegetarian Tuscan style soup is a genuine one-pot wonder.  White beans, tomatoes, kale and parmesan with a little kick of chilli, it is a weekly staple in our house.  OK, the kids don't love it but sometimes it is only the adults in our house that I am aiming to please and if I [...]

When you think of Ibiza it's hard to not conjure up a picture of a hedonistic party island...rarely do people think 'family vacay'.  But, Ibiza is an island of contrasts.  On one hand you have the 20 something party set - mohogany tanned Europeans, lobster pink Brits, tattoos, piercings, very little clothing, flirting, partying and sporting Kylie [...]

Art Prints from Hunting for George

I used to think I had enough art.  In the last house we actually had a couple of pieces sitting wrapped in boxes that we simply didn't have space for (mind you, I did come from living in a glass box - but even so...) but since we moved I am realising you can never have [...]

My Top 5 Benches and Daybeds

I bought this Moller bench from Great Dane Furniture a few years ago.  I had been eyeing this classic bench for a while because we had a stairway landing that I knew it would be perfect for.  So on a trip to Melbourne I bought it and then carefully wrapped it in bubble wrap on my parents [...]

My favourite shops for Moroccan rugs

I have become quite fixated recently with Moroccan rugs - and specifically rugs from the Boujad tribe.  I travelled to Morocco many years ago and it still remains one of my favourite destinations.  While we were there we hired a car and drove from Marrakesh into the Atlas Mountains, staying along the way at a [...]

My Byron Bay Avocado on Toast

At the beginning of the Christmas holiday period, my husband and I did a little 3 night jaunt to Byron Bay - sans kids.  We so rarely go away from the kids, mainly because we quite like our children (go figure?!) and enjoy time together as a family.  But I have to say, some time spent [...]

Slow Sunday morning feels ❥ Let the sunshine in. Today is a new day. Yesterday I ended the day making a list of everything I had to get done and felt completely overwhelmed. Today I have woken up ready to tackle it all. One of the joys of running @theassemblyhall is having the chance to collaborate with some amazing creatives. I simply can't wait for @elodbelle 'Food Photography and Storytelling' workshop. I adore food photography and I can't wait to see such a pro at work and pick up some tips. #neverstoplearning @elodbelle
Friday. Finally. This has been one of those weeks that is simultaneously over fast but seemed to go forever. In amongst my week I managed to have one of my favourite girls @haskerphotography come over and take some snaps of me for @theassemblyhall feed. This week I'm in charge of the household. And this is how it's been going...kids have been eating things from packets in their lunch, the dishwasher was emptied at dinner time last night and I am sniffing clothes and deciding they can go back in cupboards rather than be washed. Goodness me. On the upside everyone seems to be surviving and I've even got the kids doing chores. Flowers for a Monday. I hope you have a good one...and if you're in Singapore let's hope you have an umbrella ☔️
