Lemon Olive Oil Rosemary Cake

Lemon Olive Oil Rosemary Cake

I currently have this Lemon Olive Oil Rosemary cake on rotation.  It's like a lemon drizzle cake but even better and because it is made with olive oil and milk it is super moist and soft - even days later. I stumbled across this cake when I was looking for recipes to make for the [...]

The Image Search Tool You Need, But Might Not Know About

OK, I realise I've been away from the blog for a while and now I am back and writing about a completely different topic than you are used to seeing here.  But stick with me...because today I am tackling an issue that I feel quite strongly about - namely, crediting the source of an image [...]

Make An Entrance

I am often intrigued about what influences style.  Where does our sense of style come from? And why is it that we are almost always influenced by the country that we grew up in?  I was aware of this influence when it came to figuring out the entrance to our home.  There were a couple [...]

House and Home

I was at dinner with friends recently when someone asked me..."do you have to just like walk around your house and take photos everyday?"  I didn't really know what to say because ummm, yeah!  That is seriously what I have to do everyday to feed my instagram account which has become a large part of [...]

White Bean and Tomato Soup

This delicious vegetarian Tuscan style soup is a genuine one-pot wonder.  White beans, tomatoes, kale and parmesan with a little kick of chilli, it is a weekly staple in our house.  OK, the kids don't love it but sometimes it is only the adults in our house that I am aiming to please and if I [...]

It's where I call home. Lounge room views ♡ Do I go to Sydney this month...or not? I'm thinking yes. Have you seen how blue their sky is there at the moment? It's ridiculous. And I think I need to revisit here to admire the beauty and sip coffee and catch up with friends. Thoughts...? Completely and utterly obsessed with these @marmosetfound bowls from @mjresident. Their sculptural beauty is something else. I can't wait to show you these and so much more at next week's 'Styling the Home' workshop @theassemblyhall ❥
Cake spam 🥄 Baking this week for @theassemblyhall my new favourite recipe Sometimes it takes time to really figure out what your interior style is - and even when you do, we are all generally stuck with the previous interior choices we've made. So it can be a long process to get to where you wish to be. If i had my time again I would do more white with a little black for contrast and a small use of colour for interest. So when I spotted this image from @insideoutmag it spoke to me. Stunning simplicity that is right up my alley.
