Take a Tour: Elkie's Edit - a Beautiful Treasure Trove in Tiong Bahru
It is not often that I get truly excited about a new shop opening in Singapore but as soon as I saw the Instagram post from E&A Interiors with the announcement that they were opening a shop, Elkie’s Edit, I knew it would be good. And then a couple of weeks later the invitation to attend the opening day arrived on Instagram and it was beautifully designed, with a cute map for how to find their new shop and it looked like everything I hoped it would be.
This tiny shop tucked behind the E&A Interiors showroom and office is an absolute delight. A true treasure trove full of pattern and whimsy with objects sourced from around the world by owner Chloe Elkerton and custom made by the E&A design team. There are stunning handmade ceramics from Pony Weng, Fermoie lampshades and cushions, Vaughan lighting, custom made bobbin furniture and some of my absolute favourite Tamagroute ceramics from Morocco. Everywhere you look there is something to inspire and delight. I could have happily spent hours in there (as it happened I probably spent a good hour picking up almost every item - considering where it would fit it in my home).
In general I am not a huge shopper. I tend to consider my purchases and only add things into our home that I truly love. At Elkie’s Edit I decided on a woven scalloped tray, a handful of Pony’s stunning ceramics, a fantastic fabric tote bag, an African woven basket and a couple of lamp bases ready for some pretty lampshades. I have also asked the E&A team to custom make some bedside tables and a side table for me as well. When I say there is a lot to love in this tiny shop, I am not exaggerating.
Open by appointment, you can find Elkie’s Edit at 59 Eng Hoon Street, 01-75. It can be a bit tricky to locate but there is a handy (very cute) map on the E&A instagram account that can help you find it.

The shop is open by appointment 9.30 - 6pm. As they are a busy design team, it’s probably worth giving them a day’s notice to let them know you’d like to come for a browse and a shop so they can make sure they’re there.
